Heritage Restoration
Energy Efficient Renovation Upgrades
A green story by Marken Design + Consulting.
Relocated to it's current location sometime in the 1950's from the Kitsilano neighborhood, this hertitage home is being restored back to it's former style.
In 2012 Marken Design + Consulting submitted a restoration proposal as part of an infill development permit application to the City of Vancouver focusing on a character restoration with energy efficient upgrades. This included the replacement of the existing stucco and trim details, restoration of entrance porches and balconies, repair or replacement of soffits and eaves and restoring other details to match the house's photograph original taken in the 1950's.
In additional to the above, energy efficient upgrades were proposed including replacement of the existing furnace, adding exterior insulation and making the house more airtight.
Main features include
- Exterior Insulation Roxul Comfoboard
- Energy Efficient Furnace
- Renovate Envelope and Exterior Cladding
